Vitamin A, in a specific metabolite form, is essential to the eye
retina. This molecule which absorbs the light in the retina is absolutely
needed for both color vision and scotopic. Vitamin A has a different
role too.
It functions as a retinoic acid in oxidized form which is irreversible. It is a vital factor for other cells and epithelial to grow.

A found in foods which are of animal origin, primarily retinyl palmitate.
In the small intestine, it is converted to alcohol.
The function of retinol form is to store the vitamin, which is then
converted to its active visual aldehyde form, which is retinal.
The retinoic acid does not work in the essential parts of reproductive
system and the retina as it contains only partial A
vitamin activity. Retinoic acid is a metabolite which is synthesized
irreversibly from vitamin A.
What are the benefits of vitamin A? Vitamin A is fat-soluble. It plays important roles in growth, vision, and development. It develops and maintains healthy skin, mucous membranes, hair, reproduction, and immune functions.

during storage.

Toxic levels for children are more than 3,000 mg of retinol equivalents a day. For adults, it is more than 15,000 mg of retinol equivalents a day
