For children between 1 to 3 years, the recommended intake is 6 mg/day, children between 4 to 8 years are recommended to take 7 mg/day, and for ages between 9 to 13 years, recommended intake is 11 mg/day. For adolescents and adults 14 years and older, recommended intake is 15 mg/day.
